🚨 SEASON OPENER VICTORY: HAWKS TAKE DOWN EVERETT IN OT THRILLER!

What a way to kick off the season! The Winterhawks traveled up to Everett and secured our first victory of the campaign with a dramatic 3-2 overtime victory against the Silvertips.

After battling back and forth through regulation—with goals from Avery Laliberte and a clutch power-play marker from Luke Wilfley—the game went to extra time tied 2-2. Just under two minutes into overtime, Jordan Duguay buried the game-winner off a setup from Stevie Grumley to seal the two points and send us home with a massive W.

🚌 THE FLOCK TOOK OVER EVERETT!

A huge shoutout to all the awesome Hawkey Flock members who made the trip up to Everett! Seeing so many of our fans packing the arena and bringing high-voltage energy on enemy ice made a huge difference. We are hoping to encourage even more people to join us for road trips this season—there is nothing quite like traveling together, taking over visiting arenas, and making sure our Hawks feel the love wherever they go!

🏒 BUILDING THE FUTURE: RECENT PROSPECT SIGNINGS

The front office has been hard at work locking down talent for both the present and future. In the past week alone, the team announced several key prospect additions:

• Zachary Spurgeon (D): The blue-liner signs on after impressing with Northstar Christian Academy.

• Sam Auld (F): A dynamic forward coming in from the Chilliwack Chiefs.

• Easton Scott (F): The draft pick brings high-volume scoring after posting 77 points with Dallas Stars Elite.

• Aidan Potash (D): The second-round choice brings impressive size, mobility, and championship experience from the Okanagan Rockets.

"Auld turned a camp invitation into a WHL scholarship with a knack for scoring goals across The Neely Cup and the preseason. He's physically ready for the WHL, with a well rounded game to start in a checking role that chips in secondary scoring by finding open ice and converting."

HOME OPENER & FAN FEST: SATURDAY, SEPT 26

Mark your calendars! The Winterhawks return to Veterans Memorial Coliseum for our Home Opener on Saturday, September 26 as we host the Kamloops Blazers.

⏰ SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
• Fan Fest Starts: 3:00 PM outside Veterans Memorial Coliseum
• Puck Drop: 6:00 PM

Join us for the pre-game Fan Fest starting at 3:00 PM! We’ll have tailgate fun, music, food, and plenty of fellow Flock members getting hyped for the first home game of the year before heading inside for puck drop.

⚠️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY: I-5 CLOSURE & DETOURS

Planning on driving to the game? Please be aware of the planned I-5 closure in the area. Expect heavy traffic and detours surrounding the arena. We strongly encourage everyone to allow extra travel time and plan your route in advance so you don't miss a single minute of Fan Fest or the opening puck drop!
